Your Questions Answered

Safety of your baby is my number one priority and I always ensure that my vaccinations (including Whooping Cough and Influenza) are up to date. I am also vaccinated for COVID-19.

You can contact me at anytime during your pregnancy to let me know your expected due date, but the earlier the better as sessions often book up months in advance. At this time, and upon receipt of your deposit, I will make a tentative booking for you based on your due date. Then, within a few days of your little ones arrival, you’ll need to get in touch again so that we can confirm the exact date and time of your session.

The best age to photograph a newborn baby is between 1-2 weeks. This is because babies of this age are often still naturally curled up and sleepy. I love to photograph babies of all ages though and consider the Newborn Baby stage to be anything up to 3 months.

There is nothing special that you need to do to prepare for your in-home Newborn Photography Session and you definitely don’t need a ‘perfect’ house. Through the use of all available natural light, I will showcase the unique beauty that is your family, in your family home, just as you are. It is helpful to remove any clutter, but please don’t feel that you need to spring clean every surface. If needed, I will move things around to create the optimum shot.

Rooms that we will most likely use during your session are the Nursery, Master Bedroom and Lounge. The first thing I’ll do when I arrive is to scope out the best available light and rooms and work from there. If you have an extraordinarily dark home with limited natural light, an in-home session may not be the right choice for you.

If you have more than 15 people in your extended family, there is an additional fee of $50pp up to a maximum of 20.

It’s completely normal to feel a little uncomfortable in front of a camera. But don’t worry, nearly everybody feels like this. My job is to make your session as light and enjoyable as possible and I have nearly a decade of experience doing just this.

A sneak peak from your photography session will generally be shared on Instagram or Facebook within a few days. The full selection of your photos will be available to view within 1-2 weeks
